Hi! I've not blogged for a long time. Yesterday, our class went to Christ Church Secondary School to do some rock climbing. As what Yan Rong said, the school was really clean. I like the school very much.
The trainers were friendly. Firstly, before rock climbing, a trainer taught us what is a harness and a helmet. A harness is something like a belt, but it is different. When you wear it, you have to wear it the way you wear pants. You have to make it tight, (not so tight) too, so when you are rock climbing, you will be secured. A helmet, is something that protects your head. It's important to wear it so you will not crash your head when you fall or hit the wall. You have to make it tight too, (not so tight that you can't breathe) so you will be secured.
Finally, we were all ready to do rock climbing. I couldn't wait, though I was scared and knew that I couldn't climb to the top.
I watched my friends climbed the wall. They looked confident (but some looked very anxious)
I watched and watched, and gained some confidence. There were many girls who climbed to the top. I admired them, because I thought I will only climb to somewhere around the red line. The red line is where we have to climb above, to pass.
It's about time to be my turn, but to my disappointment, it was class 3B's turn. We went to a space with the female trainer, named Caroline (hope I didn't spell her name wrongly.) She was friendly and interesting. She played many games with us, and I think those games were fun. The trainer told us that after sometime the other trainers could let those pupils who haven't do the rock climbing. I was one of them, so I could try rock climbing.
When the trainers asked me to do the rock climbing, (it was my turn) I was excited. When I started climbing, it was harder than I thought. I climbed, and wished that I could climb for hours, but I couldn't, as other pupils would miss their chances to climb. When I was climbing, I wasn't scared at all, which was quite weird because when I'm crossing a bridge I will be a little afraid. I climbed, but I let go of the rocks because there wasn't enough strength on my hands. I didn't think of my legs, because at that time I was excited and was only focusing on my hands and the space on top of me. I climbed, but keep falling. The trainers gave me chances, so that I can climb up. I was not sure whether I climbed to the red line, because at that time I was too excited to think of anything else. At last, the trainers let me down, because I was taking too long. (As I've said, I wished that I could climb longer.) So I didn't made it to the top, but I didn't feel upset at all because that was quite an experience for me.
When I went back to where I was supposed to sit, I took my helmet off my head, and gave it back to a friend in 3B (he lent it to me.) It was really quite an experience for me, and I like to do the rock climbing very much.
And this was the end, but I still have something to say: the school was really big and nice, and I like it very much and wished that Greenwood can be a school that is as nice as Christ Church Secondary School.
