Yesterday 6 October 2006, my class and I went to Christ Church Secondary School for a rock climbing experience. A few pupils in my class did not go for rock climbing as they were not allowed to climb. So they had to be splited to other classes while we went for rock climbing. When we reached the school, an instructor taught us how to put on the harness and the helmet safely. After the whole class was done putting on the harness and helmet, we proceed for rock climbing.
A lot of us were very afraid that we are not able to reach the target. At first, I thought we could climb the rocks with our partners, but I was wrong! I was so disappointed and felt more afraid. I look at all my friends struggling when they were climbing. It looked so difficult but some managed to reach the top. Soon, it was my turn. I was just so afraid that I might fall suddenly. I have no choice but to climb. I was the last to go for the time being as some of the girls did not get a chance to climb.. I was struggling halfway through too and I realised it was not easy to climb up. At first, I thought I wasn't able to make it to the top but in the end, I reached the top with my hands and legs trembling and aching .
After my turn, a female trainer brought us to play some games while it was 3B's turn to climb the rocks. We discussed about what to play but most of the pupils were not interested in playing. Soon, the teacher told us to form a big circle and sit down. She said that what we are going to play was 'Blow wind blow'. After some time, she taught us other games that was similar to 'Blow wind blow'. After we were all bored of the game, the trainer played with us other games. One was very fun but I have forgotten the name. Soon after, the trainer let us play our own games but we are not allowed to run. I played some games with my friends. We were not able to play very long as the trainer said that we were too noisy. So we had to play the games she had chosen.
Then, the trainer brought us to watch the 3B pupils do rock climbing.
Some pupils in 3B climbed a lot faster than we did, so, some of them in 3B climbed twice or thrice. After some time, we were all ready to go back to school. Just before going back, an instructor took a picture with my class and my form teacher. Then, it was 3B's turn to take a picture. The day passed so quickly and it was soon time to go back to school, and going home .
I had an enjoyable time there, playing games and doing rock climbing.
