Mars spectacular

The "Mars August 2006"spectacular is a widely-circulated email. The message claims that the planet Mars will make a once- in-our-lifetimes remarkably close approach to Earth on 27 August 2006.I went to the search engine in Yahoo to search if this was true.I found out that this was absolutely FALSE.Mars did make an extraodinarily close approach to Earth several years ago, culminating on 27 August 2003.So please do not go searching for Mars in the sky on 27 August in the middle of the night.
