SPY3A

On Monday, 6th November 2006, class 3A and 3B went to Crhist Church Secondary School to experience rock climbing. We were excited but also nervous. We were excited because it was the first time for some pupils. We were also nervous as the rock climbing wall was two storeys high and some of us were afraid of heights.
When we reached our destination, a man helped us put on our helmets and a belt which was called a harness. After making sure that they fitted perfectly, we started taking turns climbing. Two pupils would be able to climb at the same time. We were given a target to climb above a red line on the wall. There would be three different kinds of certificates that each and every one of us would be getting soon. There is the bronze certificate, if you reached the target. There is the silver certificate, if you pass the red line but did not reach the top. And there was the gold certificate, if you passed the target and reached the top. I reached the top and felt really happy. I'll tell you something. I really wanted to let go and come down. But my want to reach the top was so great that it was much greater than my fear of heights. I reached the top! And I am getting the gold certificate! Well, bye for now!
